Birnbaum JCC Bridgewater Offers Special Needs Enrichment Programs
Programs begin Jan. 11 and follow CDC safety guidelines.

The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center (JCC), located at 775 Talamini Road in Bridgewater, is offering a wide variety of in-person and virtual enrichment programs for individuals with Special Needs. The winter semester of classes begins the week of January 11 and are open to individuals ages 17 and older residing in the community. The programs are offered through the JCC’s Special Services Department.

Classes offered this winter on a series of weekday dates include: Arts & Crafts, Cooking, Cheer, Game Night, Karaoke, Let’s Have Dinner In, Friday Night at the Movies, and Therapeutic Recreation. In addition, three one-time special events offered Sundays with in-person or virtual options include Paint ‘N Sip (January 24), Karaoke (February 21) and Bingo (March 14).
The Bridgewater JCC strictly adheres to all NJ State Department of Health safety and health protocols, including limiting the number of participants/class or event. Pre-registration is required for all programs. Intake is required for participation in all programs. All JCC Special Needs offerings are posted at ssbjcc.org. Additional special needs programs offered by the JCC include The J-Zone Respite Program for children ages 5-16, J-Cares Adult Internship Program, Adaptive Aquatics Skills Program and the Rising Tide Special Olympics Swim Team. The JCC Blaustein Early Childhood Center, JCC Camp Ruach and J-Crew After School Program work with families with children with special needs.
