Blues Fest Comes To Duke Island Park

The 2017 Blues Fest featuring the Bob Lanza Blues Band and the Tyrone Stackhouse Group is coming to Duke Island Park on July 30.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The 2017 Blues Fest featuring the Bob Lanza Blues Band and the Tyrone Stackhouse Group is coming to Duke Island Park on Old York Road in Bridgewater on Sunday, July 30 at 5:30 p.m.

The Bob Lanza Blues Band will kick off the concert at 5:30 p.m. The band has played for years with Floyd Phillips and the Mudflaps, and also backing legends such as James Cotton.

Following at 7 p.m. is the Tyrone Stackhouse Group. Stackhouse lives in Somerset County but he plays Motown like he was born and raised in Detroit. He and the band play the hits of the 60s and 70s, and also embrace R&B, soul, jazz and the blues into their eclectic sound.

The next scheduled concert is Sunday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. featuring the classic sounds of the Duprees.
