Bob's Discount Furniture To Replace Babies R Us In Bridgewater
Another furniture store is also opening in the township on Route 22 and a specialty grocery store is being proposed.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Out with the old and in with the new. There are two new furniture stores opening in Bridgewater and also a specialty grocery store being proposed as well.
Bob's Discount Furniture will be taking the place of the now closed Babies R Us store in the Bridgewater Promenade.
Babies R Us closed the Bridgewater location, at 100 Promenade Blvd., as part of Toys R Us' bankruptcy. The location then went up for auction in Manhattan on Sept. 27.

Spokesman Sean Flanagan confirmed Bob’s Discount Furniture will be taking over the location with a planned opening on Feb. 14, 2019.

- Warehouse - Product Support Associate
- Sales Associate
- Retail Office Associate

Additionally, Safavieh, a rug and home furnishing store, will be opening next year at the former Raymour & Flanagan outlet location on Route 22 west. There is no confirmed opening date set yet.
Lastly, there is an application submitted to the Planning Board to build a specialty grocery at the former Golfsmith property in the Bridgewater Promenade, Howard Turbowitz, economic development officer for Bridgewater confirmed.
The application will go before the planning board at their next meeting on Dec. 11.
