BOUND BROOK, NJ — Bound Brook has joined the list of towns with cases of the new coronavirus, after the first positive case in the borough was announced Thursday by borough officials.
The 30-year-old Bound Brook man had been around a coworker who was also diagnosed with COVID-19. His symptoms included a cough and fever. The resident is currently home, officials said.
"We are currently working with the Somerset County Department of Health and monitoring the situation," said Bound Brook Mayor Robert Fazen. "We strongly urge residents to practice 'social distancing' by keeping 6 feet away from others and heed the CDC prevention measure of washing your hands often in an effort to prevent community spread."
