The club is collecting unused generic school supplies to help the clients of Safe+Sound Somerset, a local domestic abuse shelter.

From July 8 to July 31, the Branchburg Woman's Club will be collecting new, unused school supplies to help the clients of Safe+Sound Somerset, a domestic abuse shelter in Hillsborough. The greatest need is school supplies for older students. Desired new items include insulated generic lunch carriers, mini-ice packs, flash drives, scientific calculators, 2 - 3 inch binders, dividers, loose leaf paper (wide and college-ruled types), 2 pocket folders, pens, pencils, spiral notebooks (single/three/five section types), composition notebooks, glue sticks, crayons, and generic backpacks (i.e., plain/no characters on them). Gift cards to Walmart, Target, or Staples stores are especially appreciated. Donations may be put in the club's collection bin, located inside the Branchburg Municipal Building (1077 US Highway 202 North, 08876) by July 31. Call (908) 866-1060 for more information. The Branchburg Woman's Club is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer organization through the New Jersey State Federation of Women's Clubs. Follow the club on Facebook at
