BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Renovation work throughout the school district is moving forward after the Board of Education awarded more than $3 million in bid contracts at its last meeting.

On Dec. 10, the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Board of Education awarded three bid contracts to Pharos Enterprises LLC for $898,000 for the High School Auditorium renovations; $1,026,000 for toilet renovations at Eisenhower Intermediate School; and $1,186,000 for toilet renovations at Hillside Intermediate School.

"They are going to replace the chairs, the carpet. Really renovate the whole area plus fix the outside of the auditorium," said Superintendent Robert Beers at the meeting.

Beers added the renovations will also make it more easy to distinguish where the main entrance to the auditorium is.

"Whenever I go there it’s a little bit confusing as far as what door you use and when you see folks going to a performance you see them going to different doors so we’re going to try delineate where the main entrance to the auditorium is," said Beers.

The project also includes renovating four classrooms north of the addition, redistributing the space, and providing room for full-day kindergarten along with toilets for each of those rooms. Read More: Bradley Gardens Elementary School Addition Unveiled In Bridgewater
