BRHS Freshman Field Hockey Team a Work In Progress

Bridgewater-Raritan High School freshman team loses to Hopewell Valley.

The Bridgewater-Raritan High School freshman field hockey team lost at home to Hopewell Valley 5-0 on Monday.

"Many of the girls on the team are new to field hockey," BRHS freshman coach  coach Stacey Maiers said before the game. "We had to break down everything to the basics. I am very optimistic they will improve throughout the season."

The Hopewell Valley team arrived late, but that didn't impact the team's performance as the visitors jumped out to a 4-0 lead at halftime. The Panthers had only one offensive rush in the first half and one more in the second half.
