BRHS Girls Soccer Hosts a Scrimmage in the Heat
The Bridgewater-Raritan High School girls soccer team took on Hopewell Valley High School in a scrimmage at the middle school Thursday.
The Bridgewater-Raritan High School girls soccer team hosted a scrimmage with Hopewell Valley High School Thursday at the Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School. The game was played in 40-minute periods with referees just like a regular-season game.
The game does not count in the team's season record.
It was a very hot afternoon and the Lady Panthers played a little sluggishly in the first half, ending in a scoreless tie. In the second half, the BRHS girls stepped up their game, scoring the only goal, and winning the contest 1-0.

Coach Kelliann Brennan was pleased with the performance.
"The second half we played more aggressively," she said. "We played with more purpose, and it got us the win."
