BRHS Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble To Perform At Music for All National Festival

The 2017 Music for All National Festival is the nation's most prestigious festival for school instrumental music ensemble.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater-Raritan High School Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble has been invited to perform at the 2017 Music for All National Festival, presented by Yamaha, the nation’s most prestigious festival for school instrumental music ensemble.

The 26th annual Festival will take place in Indianapolis, March 9-11.

The Bridgewater-Raritan High School Symphony Orchestra is under the direction of Daniel Musacchio and the Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Thomas Bourgault and James Crowley. The Wind Ensemble was selected with distinction as a Featured Ensemble. The Symphony Orchestra is the first orchestra from the state of New Jersey to ever be selected to this festival.

The two ensembles were selected to perform by a panel of esteemed music educators by recorded audition.

Music for All is one of the nation’s largest and most influential organizations advocating in support of music education. The Music for All National Festival is comprised of the National Concert Band Festival, Sandy Feldstein National Percussion Festival, Middle School National Music Festival, Chamber Music National Festival and three national honor ensembles: the Honor Band of America, the Jazz Band of America, and the Honor Orchestra of America.

The Bridgewater-Raritan High School Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble are part of 59 high school and middle school concert band and percussion ensembles from across the nation selected to perform at the 2017 Festival. They will perform in concert, be evaluated by renowned music educators and participate in master classes and special events.

Invited concert bands, orchestras, percussion ensembles, and honor ensemble members participating in the 2017 Festival come from 33 states including: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.
