BRHS World Language Honor Societies Induction Ceremony

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A celebration of the exceptional skills of Bridgewater-Raritan High School students with their studies in world languages took center stage on the evening of Wednesday, May 22.

The stage was the venue in the Bridgewater-Raritan High School auditorium, where the World Language Honor Society Induction Ceremony was performed.

Students were inducted in a ceremony into the high school’s six honor societies for world languages before a crowd that included staff, family, and friends.

That evening, a reception following the induction ceremony was held in the high school's cafeteria.

The Bridgewater-Raritan High School World Language Honor Societies are:

• French Honor Society
• German Honor Society
• Italian Honor Society
• Latin Honor Society
• Chinese Honor Society
• Spanish Honor Society

Leigh Ann Matthews, the school district’s Supervisor of K-12 World Languages and English as a Second Language (ESL), introduced the ceremony.

"The World Language Honor Society Induction Ceremony was a true celebration of multilingualism," Matthews said. "Congratulations to all of the inductees on this amazing accomplishment."

She continued with her gratitude to the high school’s staff.

"And thank you to the Honor Society advisors for their hard work planning and hosting this event. It was truly a team effort from start to finish."
