Bridgewater BOE Race Remaining Ballots To Be Counted Tuesday
As of Friday, only 21 votes separate Stephanie M. Black and Ashish ''A.J.'' Joshi, who are vying for the last available seat.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The race for a seat on the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School Board has been a close one, too close to call even since the election on Tuesday.
Candidates Melanie Thiesse who got 7,771 votes and Jacqueline M. Barlow who got 7,657 votes had enough of a lead to claim two of the three three-year seats on the board.
As of Friday, only 21 votes separate two candidates vying for the last available seat. Stephanie M. Black has 6,199 votes and Ashish ''A.J.'' Joshi has one more vote at 6,220 votes.

The only ballots left to be counted are the provisional and the mail-in ones that arrived within 48 hours of the election (Wednesday or Thursday) but were postmarked on election day, Nov. 6. Somerset County Election Board Administrator Jerry Midgette told Patch the last remaining ballots will be counted on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
Once the last ballots are counted the totals will be updated on the county's website.
