Bridgewater Boy's Off-Broadway Debut Kicks Off This Week

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater's Grant Po will be kicking off his Off-Broadway debut this week as he performs in Disney’s Camp Rock The Musical with KOTA Productions.

Po will be performing as Barron James in the musical that is a story of rivalry and power based on The Disney Channel’s "Camp Rock" and "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam."

Po's love of music began when he was a child, he could be heard singing or humming songs from Broadway or the radio. He began singing at age 5 after he saw Disney's "Frozen" for the first time, according broadwaymentorsprogram.com.

This musical follows a group of friends who arrive at Camp Rock ready for a summer of jamming out and having fun. Then a new Camp Star across the lake threatens to shut Camp Rock down prompting the kids to band together to save their summer refuge.

Disney's Camp Rock The Musical plays at Theatre Row in Theatre Four with showtimes on Thursday, Aug. 18 and Friday, Aug. 19 at 5 and 8 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 20 at 2 and 8 p.m., and on Sunday, Aug. 21 at 3 and 6 p.m.
