Bridgewater Celebrates Hobbstown Centennial
Bridgewater came together to celebrate the 100th anniversary since Hobbstown was established in the township.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater came together over this past weekend to celebrate the Hobbstown Centennial.
The Hobbstown section of the township was founded 100 years with families such as the Bryant, Hicks, Hobbs, McCray, Miller, Murdock, Proctor, Sermons, and Tukes serving as pillars of the entire Bridgewater community.
Flags recognizing these families and their long legacy were installed on both Monmouth Avenue and North Bridge Street ahead of the celebration.

"We are all privileged to have our Hobbstown families among us, we are proud to call them our neighbors, and we look forward to another hundred years of Hobbstown!" said Bridgewater Township Government .
Council President Filipe Pedroso and Council Vice President Allen Kurdyla also attended the Centennial celebration.
