Somerset Patriots Day with Sparkee! Taking place Sun., July 18 from noon to 1pm in the Food Court on the Upper Level, enjoy a meet and greet with Central Jersey’s most lovable mascot – the Somerset Patriots’ very own Sparkee! Receive Patriots’ giveaways, a FREE photo opportunity with the beloved character and a chance to win tickets to the Patriots’ home game on July 25th featuring Paw Patrol! Somerset Patriots Day with Sparkee is open to the public.

The Children’s Museum presents Let’s Get Going! Autos, Trains, Planes and Spaceships. Get going to the Community Hub on Sun., July 18 for a workshop filled with hands-on activities to learn all about transportation. Included will be a station where kids can decorate their own train car; an exercise where they’ll pretend to operate a train; an activity where they’ll decorate and bring home a conductor cap; and lots more! Let’s Get Going is not a drop-off experience; parents must stay with their children for the entire visit. Taking place from 1-3pm and open to the public, registration is required.

Craftin’ with Corks! A Workshop by Creative Touch. Wed., July 21 will see an evening of creating, having fun and supporting charity when A Creative Touch hosts a special workshop from 6-8pm in the Community Hub. Come create your own wine cork wreath and enjoy a complimentary, clean-crafted organic tasting in collaboration with Scout & Cellar. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Make a Wish Foundation. Must be aged 21+ to participate and registration is required.

Claymore Vets Dance Off Fundraiser. Visit Community Hub on Sun., July 25 from 1-3pm for a two-hour Dance Off Master Class to raise funds and community awareness for Claymore Vets, a N.J.-based non-profit organization with a mission to cultivate a creative and connected community of veterans, first responders and artists fostering social reconnection and growth. Open to the public, registration is required.

Penelope the Powerful Parrot! An Interactive Experience for Children. Hosted by the Somerset County Hope and Healing program, this one-day-only experience will deliver free, family-centered programming to help mitigate the emotional impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Attendees can expect an interactive and creative use of storytelling, movement, and song to deliver a message of hope and resilience. Children as young as three, and adults up to 83, have enjoyed Penelope’s story. Taking place Sat., July 31 from 1-3pm in the Community Hub, Penelope the Power Parrot! is open to the public and registration is required.
