Bridgewater Couple To Be Honored For Decades Of Service At Immaculata High School
Karen and Joseph Amabile are set to be honored for their service to the Immaculata community at a dinner in May.

SOMERVILLE, NJ — Karen Riehman Amabile and her husband, Joseph, will be honored for their service and dedication to Immaculata High School and the Church of the Immaculate Conception.
The couple will receive the recognition at the Spartan Golf Classic dinner scheduled for May 4 at the Raritan Valley Country Club in Bridgewater.
Karen, a member of the Immaculata High School Class of 1990, has been a part of the parish life for more than 50 years. She is the daughter of Barbara and Hugh Riehman, who are lifelong supporters of the school and parish.

Her father, Hugh, continues to serve on the parish offertory counting team at 88 years old.
Professionally, Karen works as a business Strategy Development Principal at L3Harris Technologies. Her background includes a career as an engineering program manager for the U.S. Army at Picatinny Arsenal.

Joseph served in the United States Marine Corps and is currently an executive vice president at Foley Caterpillar in Piscataway.
The couple has contributed to the school community through various volunteer roles in athletics and fundraising. They provided a comprehensive security system and donated flatscreen televisions for elementary classrooms.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, they supplied desk partitions for the school. Their support also includes providing a rental generator during a power outage and donating an aerial lift to the football program.
Karen serves as the secretary on the board of the parent organization at the school. She has also held leadership roles for the annual Spartan 5K and the Spartan Golf Classic.
The couple are parents to Joseph, a senior at Immaculata High School, and Ashli, a graduate of Holy Family Academy.
"We believe in the value of Catholic education," Karen said. "We are honored to be recognized for sharing that commitment with others," she added.
Joseph noted that the couple hopes their continued service and legacy of giving inspire others to help ensure that future generations can benefit from faith-based education.
Immaculata High School was founded in 1962 as a co-ed college preparatory school. The institution focuses on the pillars of Faith, Scholarship, Service, and Friendship. Friends and family are invited to attend the event to honor the Amabiles.
