Bridgewater Couple Eliminated On 'The Amazing Race'
Bridgewater locals Akbar and Sheridan Cook had a good run on the TV show before being passed during a canyoning challenge at the very end.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater residents Akbar and Sheridan Cook have run their last leg on CBS' TV show "The Amazing Race". The couple was eliminated during the latest episode.
The Cooks were among five teams still competing on the show where they race around the world for a $1 million grand prize.
On Feb. 2's episode, the teams arrive in Corsica, France where the Cooks say they want to be "more in sync" with one another.

At the first detour, the Cooks choose the "Say Cheese" challenge where they must take part in the tradition of making three batches of Fromage.
They handle the challenge very well by keeping the cooking temperature steady versus the front runners, Dusty and Ryan.

"We are better cooks than them so I gotta hopefully see if my intuition works," said Akbar on the show.
After finishing the challenge, they head to the roadblock where Akbar must go canyoning through a 1.5-mile river while looking for the next clue.
Unfortunately, this is where Akbar struggles and Ryan is able to catch up and pass him.
As a result, the Cooks come in at last place and are eliminated from the race.
"We was in it, I was just taken over by the mountains. It was on me today," Akbar said after being eliminated.
Sheri supports Akbar saying "All you can do is the best he could. It wasn't good enough today but it is alright."
"We ran a good race but they were just better than us and I don't mind. If you leave it all on the court there is nothing wrong with losing. We gave it our all today," said Akbar.
