Bridgewater Dems Grateful For Support In Election, Yet Disappointed
Democrats Dan Hayes, Saad Toor, and Marguerite Baranowski shared a letter with voters following Election Day.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — While the official final votes are still being finalized, Bridgewater Democrats have shared a message with residents.
"While the results of the election are not final, it appears the outstanding votes are insufficient to close the gap. I am proud of our campaign and my running mates. And, together, we are grateful for the support we received," wrote Dan Hayes, Saad Toor, and Marguerite Baranowski.
Hayes, a former Republican mayor for the township, was running as a Democrat for Mayor against incumbent Matthew Moench. According to unofficial results, Moench won with 6,561 votes over Hayes with 5,098 votes.

Toor and Baranowski both ran for Council against Reoublican incumbents Timothy Ring and Michael Kirsh. Kirsh earned 6,460 votes and Ring earned 6,493 votes beating Toor with 4,929 votes and Baranowski with 4,992 votes for the two seats.
"We delivered on our promise of a campaign based on issues, passionately presented to our fellow residents. That voters chose to stay the course is naturally a disappointment. Still, my entire team wishes the best for the current administration, as they, by voter’s decision, remain the chosen stewards of our township. That is democracy," wrote Hayes, Toor, and Baranowski.
