Bridgewater Diner Fire Under Investigation, Not Considered Suspicious
The diner on Route 22 remains closed as of Thursday as repairs and construction are underway.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater Diner remains closed as a fire ripped through the restaurant overnight on Monday.
The diner suffered extensive water damage yet crews are "working hard to try to re-open in three weeks," said an employee with the diner.
The fire, which broke out just after midnight on Monday, was found in the kitchen, said Bridgewater Police Lt. Kevin Lamey.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but it was not suspicious, said Lamey.
Diners are being directed to eat at their other location - the Sunset Diner at 335 Route 22 in Green Brook.
