It was the second day of the family's vacation when Bear, a two-year-old black Labradoodle, went missing.

Bear was being walked by a dog sitter in the Martinsville area near the Bernards Township border when he went missing on Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

"He saw a fox, bolted, and ripped the lease right out of her hand," said Folkerts, who lives in the Bradley Gardens section of Bridgewater.

Folkerts said she has received calls with tips but they were all false sightings.

She is just pleading with the community to keep an eye out for their family dog.

To report a sighting call or text Folkert at 570-369-2005.
