Bridgewater Family In Need Of Help After House Fire, Fundraiser Set Up

A lemonade stand fundraiser will be held on Friday to help the Guimond family and their three children after a fire last week.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The community is rallying together to help a Bridgewater family displaced after a house fire last week.

A lemonade stand fundraiser will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at 549 Stony Brook Drive, Bridgewater, in support of the Guidmond family.

The fundraiser is collecting:

  • Girl, age 2 - clothing size 2T/3T, sweatshirts, pjs, bathing suits, backpack, lunchbox
  • Boy, age 7 - size 7/8 needs soccer socks, shin guards, hats, shorts. Like slegos, soccer, art, and painting
  • Girl, age 9 - Size 8/10, needs bathing suits, likes dryfit/athletic clothes and sweatshirts, basketball, Lilo & Stitch
  • Woman, size M
  • Men, size L
  • Additional items being collected include sunglasses, board games, crafts, books, and gift cards to Target, Amazon, and Marshalls.

    The fire broke out on June 1 at around 3:30 p.m. on Rolling Knolls Way in Bridgewater.

    The fire started outside the house and appeared to have spread to the house from a grill on the rear deck, said Bridgewater Police Lt. Stephen Zeichner.
