Bridgewater Firefighters Rescue Trapped Driver On Route 202
The Bradley Gardens Volunteer firefighters used the Jaw of Life to pry open a car and rescue a trapped driver Wednesday morning.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bradley Gardens firefighters used the Jaws of Life to pry open a car and rescue a trapped driver on Wednesday morning.
The crash between a white Freightliner tractor-trailer and a silver 2007 Lexus was reported on Route 202 north near Wegmans at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday, said Bridgewater Police Sgt. Frederick J. Brittain III.
Firefighters found the car stuck between a guardrail and a tractor-trailer and used the Jaws of Life to remove the driver's door and rescue the driver, according to Bradley Garden Volunteer Fire Chief Pete Chetwynd.

The driver of the Lexus complained of pain and was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset as a precaution, said Brittain.
The cause of the crash has not been determined and is currently under investigation.
