Bridgewater Mayoral, Council Election Results Certified: See Final Tallies

Republicans once again came out victorious across the board in the 2023 Bridgewater Township general election.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — It's a wrap: The Republicans have once again emerged victorious over the Democrats in the 2023 race for Bridgewater Township Mayor and Council.

The Somerset County Clerk's Office confirmed Wednesday that the election results from Nov. 7 have been certified.

In Bridgewater, there were two candidates running for Mayor. Republican incumbent Matthew Moench emerged victorious over Democrat Dan Hayes.

There were also four candidates running for two open seats on the council. Republican incumbents Michael Kirsh and Timothy Ring won over Saad Toor and Marguerite Baranowski.

Mayor:

  • Moench - 7,155 votes (54.28%)
  • Hayes - 5,998 votes (45.50%)

Council:

  • Ring - 7,039 votes (27.28%)
  • Kirsh - 6,992 votes (27.10%)
  • Baranowski - 5,900 votes (22.87%)
  • Toor - 5,829 votes (22.59%)
