Bridgewater Mompreneur Creates Twist On Paint And Sip Concept
Mom of 3 young kids and former Basking Ridge art teacher, Stephanie Moench, started Create Heat Studio.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater mother of three and former teacher, Stephanie Moench is putting a unique twist on the paint and sip concept with her new business, Create Heart Studio.
Moench is a mother to three kids ages 1, 3 and 5 and had been teaching art in Basking Ridge for students in grades kindergarten through eighth.
Trying to hold down her career and raise her children became a challenge. So Moench decided to start her own company that would combine her two passions of art and teaching.

Adding on to the growing trend of paint and sip shops, Moench is taking the concept one step further to have “create and sip.”
“The menu has more than just painting, it is all kinds of arts and crafts,” Moench said. “It’s like things you see on Pinterest.”

Moench’s classes teach locals to create unique and personalized cutting boards with a wood burning technique or painting on non-traditional surfaces like silk.
She also offers classes to create silk flower wreaths, dream catchers and different items out of felt. But her offerings are endless as she is always adding to it.
Moench’s goal is to teach locals to create art that they love. She provides all the materials and she comes to you.
“My goal is not to be a brick and mortar business,” Moench said. “Instead I can hold classes on your deck or basement or garage. This way you feel more at home.”
There is a 10 person minimum for classes and Moench also offers her services for kid’s birthday parties and other events.
“I love it, I have always been an artsy person,” Moench said. “This is wonderful.”
