Bridgewater Motorcyclist Hospitalized, Remains In Critical Condition After Route 22 Crash
The crash is currently under investigation by the Readington Township Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.
READINGTON, NJ — A Bridgewater motorcyclist remains hospitalized in critical condition following a crash with a car on Route 22 in Hunterdon County.
On Thursday, May 1, at around 7 p.m., Readington Township Police and South Branch Emergency Services responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan at the intersection of Route 22 and School Road, in the area of Berry Farm Road.
The sedan crossed the intersection and collided with the motorcycle, said Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.

The operator of the motorcycle, Roberto Chaves-Rivas, 23, of Bridgewater, was taken by helicopter (Atlantic Mobile Health) to the Morristown Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition, according to authorities.
The driver of the sedan, Jonathan Ponulak, 62, of Whitehouse Station, was not injured, said authorities.

Members of Oldwick Fire Company, Tewksbury Township Police Department, Clinton Township Police Department, and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office went to the scene.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Readington Township Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office.
