Bridgewater Offers Flu Clinics In October

Bridgewater is offering influenza vaccination clinics for township residents age 55 or older and other "high risk" individuals. ​

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater Township Division of Health is offering influenza vaccination clinics for township residents age 55 or older and other “high risk” individuals.

These individuals include residents with diabetes, asthma, respiratory illness and heart related diseases and ailments.

All older adults in the community as well as individuals with chronic ailments are encouraged to receive seasonal influenza vaccinations. Preventive vaccination has been found to play a vital role in the wellness of older adults during the influenza season, the township stated.

Clinics will be held at the Bridgewater Senior Citizens Center, 455 Somerville Road:

  • Monday, Oct. 16 from 2 to 5 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 23 from 2 to 5 p.m.

The fees are: $25, payable to Community Visiting Nurses Association and no direct charge for Medicare Part B participants.

The Federal Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has assured there is an adequate supply of seasonal influenza vaccine for all “high risk” individuals this influenza season. Seasonal influenza vaccine may also be readily available at your private physician’s office and local pharmacy.

Influenza vaccinations at the Township clinics will be provided through partnership with the Community Visiting Nurses Association of Somerville.

Pre-registration for the Township’s older adult program is required and open at this time. Call the Division of Health at 908-725-5750 for an appointment.
