Bridgewater Opens Tented Charging, Water Station For Residents
Residents who do not have power can visit the outdoor tent to charge a phone or get some water. Also here is what to do with storm debris:
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater has set up a tented outdoor charging station and water stationfor residents, who do not have power, due to Tropical Storm Isaias.
Residents are invited to visit the tent at the Municipal Complex (100 Commons Way), which is in front of the police station. The tent will remain open on Thursday as well.
Residents will be able to charge any critical devices and residents who have well water can use a hose to fill any personal containers.

The Somerset County Library Branch in Bridgewater has also set up additional power strips to accommodate device charging.
Residents should wear a mask and practice social distancing when using this resource.

Storm Debris
Bridgewater announced it does not have the resources to be able to pick up that debris from all residents, but they will conduct brush pick-up for senior citizens on a limited basis. Seniors can find out more information by clicking here.
The Township also offers a free service to residents by allowing them to drop off any debris at the Township's yard waste site on Foothill Road behind Costco at 136 Foothill Road.
The facility is open:
- Monday to Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
- Saturday: 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Sunday: Closed

As of Wednesday morning, more than 28,000 Somerset County residents and 1,300 Hillsborough residents remain without power following Tropical Storm Isaias.
