Bridgewater-Raritan Administrators Paid Most In Somerset County

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater-Raritan school administrators are the highest paid on average in Somerset County, according to recently released information by the state for 2019.

In Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District, the median salary is $149,211, the highest in Somerset County and 30th highest in New Jersey. Central Jersey College Prep Charter School had the lowest median salary in Somerset County with $70,380.

Bridgewater's 2.8 percent salary increase from 2018 was the fourth highest in Somerset County and 222nd highest year-over-year increase in New Jersey. Bedminster had the largest percentage increase with 7.83 followed by Bernards Township, Branchburg and then Bridgewater-Raritan.

The median statewide salary is $125,207, a 1 percent increase over 2018.

The information is part of the state Department of Education's Taxpayer's Guide to Education Spending, which shows the median salary in every New Jersey school district for the salaries of principals, superintendents, and administrators in 2019.

In addition to median salaries, the site also shows each district's total spending, average daily enrollment and students from sending districts, the per-pupil costs and the district's total budget spending for 2019.
