Bridgewater-Raritan Gymnasts Named Somerset County Champions

Bridgewater-Raritan Regional High School successfully defended its county championship when it edged runner-up Hillsborough High School.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — For the second year in a row, the Bridgewater-Raritan High School gymnastics team was named the champion of Somerset County.

Bridgewater-Raritan successfully defended its county championship when it edged runner-up
Hillsborough High School, 105.9250 to 105.7250, on Monday at Montgomery High School.

Hillsborough had won six straight Somerset County titles before Bridgewater-Raritan claimed
the county championship last year.

Elle Kim captured three county titles when she won in bars (9.2000), floor (9.2500), and all-
around (35.9500) to also give Bridgewater-Raritan an all-around champion for the second
straight year. Kim also finished fifth in beam (8.8000) to cap off her big performance.

Sanjana Thayi finished first in beam (9.0750) and placed third in vault (9.1000).
Olivia Petronzi placed second in floor (9.1500), Marley Dolan finished tied for fifth in bars
(8.3500), and Lauren Yang ended sixth in floor (8.9000) to round out the top-six county places
by the Panthers.
