BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater-Raritan High School orchestra students closed out the 2025-2026 school year with their Spring Concert on May 19, in the school auditorium.

The performance followed what Orchestra Director Hsiao-yu Lin, also identified as Sherry Griggs, described as a demanding stretch of rehearsals and practices during the spring.

According to the school district, Griggs tested students with rigorous preparation ahead of the final performance of the school year.

Griggs said the music selected for the season pushed students across all ensembles.

"I programmed a very challenging repertoire this spring for all ensembles, and we work diligently to improve our performance. I am proud to say the students rose to the challenge and presented a high level of technique, musicianship, and mature expression on Tuesday night (May 19)," said Griggs.

The account described the performances in positive terms throughout the evening.

The Ninth Orchestra opened the program, and Piu Vivace followed.

The Concert Orchestra performed next, followed by the Symphony Orchestra. The evening concluded with the Senior Orchestra.

Griggs also recognized the students identified in the account as the Orchestra Class of 2026 for their role in the program.

Her remarks pointed to leadership within the ensemble and the example set for younger musicians during the school year.

"Thank you to the Orchestra Class of 2026! You led by example and showed the underclassmen the importance of dedication and commitment to the Orchestra Program. We will miss you!" said Griggs.
