Bridgewater Raritan High School Winter Guard Show Set For Saturday

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater-Raritan High School Winter Guard Show will be staged on Saturday, March 11, in the high school’s main gym, the Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium.

The all-day event will begin at 3 p.m. with 28 teams competing.

"Schools like our gym because it has the space," said Nick Mossa, the Bridgewater-Raritan
High School Band Director, about the event that has been held here in Bridgewater for more than 10 years.

Mossa also explained that the event will be held during the right-time period for winter
guard teams.

"This is the mid-season time, which is perfect," he said.

Bridgewater-Raritan’s winter guard squad is scheduled to perform on March 11 at 7:17 p.m.

The awards ceremony is slated for 8:42 p.m., but before that closing period, Mossa said that Bridgewater-Raritan will hold an exhibition performance, which is not scored, at the end of the show.

"We will also recognize our seniors and celebrate our team," Mossa said.

He also shared his thoughts about how Bridgewater-Raritan will perform in this large field that
has attracted schools from all ends of New Jersey, including as far as Vernon High School in
Sussex County and Egg Harbor High School in Atlantic County. Also, two New York high school
squads will also be participating.

"We are getting better and better each week. We have added our production," he said.
