Bridgewater-Raritan Parents To March Sunday For Student Safety
The march will be held at 9 a.m. at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Basilone Field parking lot, 700 Garretson Road, in Bridgewater.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — On Sunday, Bridgewater-Raritan parents will be marching to create a safer school environment for their children in the district.
The "March For Our Lives," which is in support of Never Again Movement, is being hosting by township parents who created a group "Not In Our Town" following the Parkland, Florida school shooting.
The march will be held at 9 a.m. at the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Basilone Field parking lot, 700 Garretson Road, in Bridgewater. (See Related: Bridgewater-Raritan Parents To March Sunday For Their Kids Lives)

Here is a breakdown of what will happen at the march:
9 to 9:30 a.m.

- Bridgewater Mayor Dan Hayes will say few words to the community.
- A few students and parents will share their thoughts.
9:30 to 10 a.m.
- Everyone marches on the route recommended by Bridgewater Police.
10:30 to 11 a.m.
- Conclude march at Basilone Field
- Voter registrations
- Sign-up for follow-up activities from the Student Empowerment Committee.
The march is being held to stop gun violence and also for mental health, student support and security awareness.
Participants to leave backpacks and big bags at home for security reasons.
