BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Beginning on Monday, the public will be able to once again enter Bridgewater Township Municipal buildings.

Over the past few weeks, Bridgewater has slowly started to reopen its municipal services to residents. Last week, the township initiated a phase 1 reopening which was limited to services that require in-person interaction with township staff.

Now residents will be able to go inside the buildings without an appointment during normal business hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. However, the Department of Public Works will not be open.

Several restrictions will be in place for residents:

  • Residents must wear a mask to enter the building.
  • If you are sick, test positive for COVID-19, or have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, do not enter the building at this time.
  • If you had been sick previously make sure that: you haven't had a fever for 72 hours, without fever-reducing medication, and your symptoms have improved, and it has been at least 10 days since you experienced symptoms.
  • If you tested positive for COVID-19 but did not experience symptoms, wait at least 10 days after the test before entering the building.
  • If you have been exposed to someone who is sick or tested positive for COVID-19, wait at least 14 days after the exposure before entering the building.

The township encourages residents who have business that can be completed by phone, email or remote access to do so rather than come into the building. To look up a phone or email visit bridgewaternj.gov/directory-of-departments.
