Bridgewater Reports 0 Coronavirus Deaths In Past Month
See how Bridgewater ranks in terms of coronavirus cases and deaths compared to towns in Somerset County and New Jersey.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ — As more and more New Jersey towns now rank high on New Jersey's coronavirus case and fatality list, Bridgewater's numbers are remaining steady on the low side.
As of Friday, the township reported one new coronavirus case. Since the pandemic began the township has reported a total of 522 coronavirus cases and 66 deaths.
Bridgewater has not reported any new deaths in just over a month now. The last death reported was on July 25.

Of the 66 people, who have died due to the coronavirus in Bridgewater, the overall age range is 40 to 105 years of age:
- 2 were under the age of 50
- 5 were between 50 and 64
- 17 were between 65 and 79
- 42 were aged 80+

Bridgewater saw a 6.63 percent increase in cases from July 4 through Aug. 23, which ranked at 401 out of all the towns in the state.
The township also saw a 4.35 percent increase in fatalities in the same timeframe, which ranked at 112 in the state.
Bridgewater saw 11.51 cases per 1,000 people in the same timeframe, which ranked at 336 in the state.
Somerset County has a total of 5,379 cases and 493 deaths as of Friday, according to the state. Franklin Township is the hardest hit in the county with 1,475 cases and 135 deaths followed by Bridgewater and Bernards Township in terms of death rate.
