Burlington Announces Opening Date At 1st Somerset County Location
Burlington replaced the former 46,000-square-foot Toys R Us store in Raritan making it the first to open in Somerset County.

RARITAN, NJ — After pushing back their opening date due to the coronavirus, Burlington Stores has announced a grand opening date for its first Somerset County location in Raritan.
The grand opening will be held on Thursday, Sept. 10 at its newest location at 451 Route 28 in Raritan. The store replaced the former 46,000-square-foot Toys R Us store off the Somerville Circle.
The store will be open Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Burlington had previously planned to open in April but pushed back its opening to the fall due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Several safety measures will be enforced during the opening including:

- New, spacious store layout
- Signage to remind customers and associates to practice social distancing and remain at least six feet apart
- One-way entrances and exits at the front of the store and in the department aisles
- Wider check-out lanes, with social distancing markers on the floor
- Customers and associates are expected to wear face masks. If a customer does not have a mask but wishes to wear one, we will provide them one
- Proactive steps will be taken to routinely clean and disinfect all areas of the store, including frequently cleaning high-touch areas, providing sanitization materials throughout, making shopping cart wipes available, and having deep cleaning response plans in place
