About the Program: This engaging water discovery class is designed to help your little one build comfort and confidence in the water through guided, age-appropriate experiences and activities. Participants will learn to ask for permission before entering the water and practice entering and exiting the pool safely. Children will build comfort in the water while exploring submerging to the mouth, nose, and eyes — and eventually fully submerging. They will experience buoyancy on both their front and back, practice changing body positions, and learn how to play safely. The class also introduces wearing a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket and covers important age-appropriate water safety skills.

About the Program: This class helps children start to gain basic swimming propulsive skills while becoming comfortable in and around the water. Participants will practice entering the water by jumping in, fully submerging, and holding their breath. Children will work on bobbing, rotary breathing, front, jellyfish, and tuck floats, front and back floats or glides with recovery to a vertical position, and changing direction while swimming on their front or back.
Swimmers will also practice treading water using coordinated arm and leg actions, combined arm and leg movements on both the front and back, and finning arm action on the back. Age-appropriate water safety topics are incorporated throughout the program.

About the Program: This class builds on the skills learned in Preschool Level 3 through additional guided practice in deeper water. Participants will practice entering the water by jumping from the side, fully submerging, then recovering to the surface and returning to the side. Children will also practice headfirst entries from the side in sitting and kneeling positions, bobbing while moving toward safety, and rotary breathing.
Swimmers will work on back floats, survival floats, changing from vertical to horizontal positions on front and back, treading water, and kicking techniques including flutter, dolphin, scissors, and breaststroke kicks. Front crawl and elementary backstroke are also introduced. Age-appropriate water safety topics are incorporated throughout the program.

About the Program: This class orients children to the aquatic environment and helps them gain foundational water skills in a supportive and engaging setting. Participants will practice entering the water using the ramp, steps, or side of the pool and exiting safely using the ladder, steps, or side. Swimmers will learn to blow bubbles through their mouth and nose, submerge their mouth, nose, and eyes, and open their eyes underwater to retrieve submerged objects.
Children will develop skills including front and back glides with recovery to a vertical position, back floats, rolling from front to back and back to front, and treading water using arm and hand actions. The class also introduces alternating and simultaneous arm and leg actions on both the front and back, along with combined arm and leg movements. About the Program: This class develops confidence in the skills learned in previous levels while improving other aquatic abilities. Participants will practice headfirst entries from the side in compact and stride positions, swimming underwater, feet-first surface dives, and survival swimming. Children will also work on open turns on front and back, treading water using two different kicks, and a variety of strokes including front and back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, and butterfly. Flutter and dolphin kicks on the back are also introduced.
Age-appropriate water safety topics are incorporated throughout the program.

NJ Ketamine Pioneer Opens 2nd Clinic in South Plainfield
