Pops Bike Shop

UPDATED 5/20 - Date changed to April 23, 2026 Bicycle Donations. On Thursday, April 23rd, we planning to partner with RideWise and Pops Bike Shop in Somerville to collect gently used bicycles. RideWise “connects people and businesses in Somerset County to safe and sustainable travel information that enhances quality of life and creates a vibrant economy”. Through their BikeConnect program, they give adults in need of reliable transportation a new ride. They work in partnership with Pops Bike Shop, creating a bicycle rehabilitation program that repairs donated bicycles and gives them to adults who need transportation for employment. Donated bicycles are dropped off at Pop’s for repairs. There is no charge to drop off a bike. The repaired bikes are then donated to adults referred to RideWise by nonprofit organizations in Somerset County. In addition to the bike, Pops provides each bike with a helmet and bicycle lock. RideWise also provides bike recipients with an instruction booklet on cycling safety.
The bike drive is planned for April 23rd from 11 am to 2 pm. On the 23rd, RideWise will be on hand at Pops to accept bike donations. If the 23rd is an inconvenient drop-off date, bikes will be accepted all week and can be dropped off at any time that Pops is open. As an FYI - gently used children’s two wheelers can also be donated.

NJ Ketamine Pioneer Opens 2nd Clinic in South Plainfield

Reyou Ketamine Treatments, the NJ mental health practice that has delivered more than 8,000 transformative treatments for depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mood disturbances, has opened its 2nd clinic at 908 Oak Tree Road in South Plainfield. The expansion comes as the practice's Howell location is consistently booked, with demand for relief of mental health symptoms surging across Central NJ. The expansion comes as treatment-resistant depression affects an estimated 2.8 million Americans, and most patients still don't know that Spravato — the FDA-approved nasal spray form of ketamine — is covered by most commercial and federally funded insurance plans, including Horizon, Cigna, and Aetna. "People come to us after years of trying medications that didn't work for depression, anxiety, PTSD — they're exhausted. They've lost hope," said Michael Langer, founder of Reyou. "What our team has seen across 8,000 treatments is that ketamine doesn't just relieve symptoms — it gets at the root and gives people a window where real change becomes possible. Our job is to make sure that window is maximized for lasting change." Despite growing clinical evidence and FDA approval, access to ketamine-based treatments in NJ remains limited. Many clinics offer infusions as a standalone service — administer the IV, send the patient home. However, Reyou was built on a different premise. Every treatment at Reyou includes integration support — guided sessions during the critical neuroplasticity window that ketamine creates, designed to help patients process their experience and build lasting change. It's a model informed by data from Harvard-affiliated clinics studying more than 2,000 patients. "The treatment opens a door. Integration is what helps people walk through it," said Langer.
