Leonard J. Buck Garden to Host Spring Plant Sale on April 25 and 26

Free Garden Tours At 1 PM

FAR HILLS, NJ – Celebrate spring and Earth Day by purchasing plants for your yard at the Leonard J. Buck Garden plant sale where there will be a variety of spectacular plants available. The event will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, April 26, from 12 to 5 p.m. at the rock garden, located at 11 Layton Road, Far Hills, NJ 07931.

Visitors will love the selection of perennials, ferns, woody plants, and hypertufa planting troughs. There also will be free guided tours of the magnificent naturalistic rock garden each day at 1 p.m.

The garden consists of alpines and woodlands situated in a 33-acre valley. Mr. Leonard J. Buck developed the garden in the 1930s as part of his estate. In 1975, the garden was donated to the Somerset County Park Commission by his wife, Mrs. Helen Buck.
