Car Loses Control, Hits I-287 Median, Rolls Over In Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — During the overnight snowstorm, police and firefighters went out to Interstate 287 for a rollover crash.

Just after midnight on Tuesday morning, authorities were called to a crash on I-287 south at milepost 13 in Bridgewater Township, said New Jersey State Trooper Charles Marchan.

Based on a preliminary investigation, a Honda passenger car was driving south on I-287 south, lost control and hit the median, said Marchan.

Finderne Fire Department Deputy 30, Engine 302, and Engine 303 went to help at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation. There were no reported injuries at the scene.

The Finderne Fire Department, which covers the southeast section of Bridgewater Township, is always looking for volunteers.

Volunteers are offered complete protective gear, free training, LOSAP (Length of Service Award Programs), a pay-per-call incentive, a life insurance/disability plan, and an in-house gym.
