Press release from the JCC Blaustein Early Childhood Center:

March 8, 2021

The children in the 3-year-old classroom at the JCC Blaustein Early Childhood Center recently completed a learning unit on Animal Care, and sponsored a pet food collection in support of the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter in Bridgewater. The class created a campaign called "One Can – Can Help." The children learned about Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and about the importance of giving back to the local community and making the world a better place. The children also learned about the Jewish Value of Tza’ar Ba’alei Chayim – protecting animals, that teaches about taking care of all the world’s creatures by keeping the environment safe and remembering that animals need food and shelter.
