Christmas Tree Shops In Bridgewater To Close, Liquidation Sales To Begin

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Christmas Tree Shops is preparing to liquidate all of its stores including a Bridgewater location.

Christmas Tree Shops recently filed papers in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware indicating that going-out-of-business sales would begin at all the chain's stores.

The sales could begin as soon as Thursday after the company defaulted on the loan funding its bankruptcy, according to the Wall Street Journal. Potential buyers have until then to object to the liquidation sales.

The Bridgewater location at 365 Route 202/206 off the Somerville Circle is among 10 in New Jersey.

The Massachusetts-based chain initially filed for bankruptcy in May following the collapse of its parent company, per Patch reporting.
