Community Job Fair And Networking Event To Be Held At RVCC

Middle school, high school and college-age young adults can meet more than 30 employers on April 28.

Middle school, high school and college-age young adults along with parents and guidance counselors can meet more than 30 employers and agencies at Life After High School - Career Paths for Youth, a free community event to occur on Thursday, April 28, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Raritan Valley Community College Conference Center, Lamington Road, Branchburg.

During this event for employers and residents of Hunterdon and Somerset counties, attendees will have the opportunity to network and learn about the many options available for workforce-bound students looking for a career path that supports financial security and independence. Employers who have immediate openings and are offering development programs are scheduled to be in attendance as well as various schools and agencies offering in-demand career training programs.

In addition, the conference is setting aside time for workforce members and community leaders to share their individual success stories with attendees. The event begins with a light meal, registration and networking at 5:30 p.m. Program presentations run from 6 to 6:45 p.m., and networking will continue through 8 p.m.

Prospective youth, parent and guidance counselor attendees can register here. Walk-ins are welcome. The event is free for exhibitors and attendees.
