Coronavirus Test Center Fully Booked In Somerset County Thursday

Somerset County Health Department's weekly COVID-19 drive-thru test for Thursday is already fully booked with a waiting list.

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Somerset County Health Department's weekly COVID-19 drive-thru test site is already fully booked for Thursday and there is a waiting list.

The drive-up testing center at Raritan Valley Community College at 118 Lamington Rd. in Branchburg has been held every week since Nov. 5 through Dec. 2.

A Somerset County official said it is unclear if the Dec. 2 test day is already booked as well. The county is also looking into possibly opening up more dates, however, no decisions have been made.

As of Wednesday, Somerset County is reporting 122 new coronavirus cases bringing the total to 7,963 positive coronavirus cases and 530 deaths. (See the full breakdown below)

The testing at the site is free of charge and open to Somerset County residents, age five and older. appointments are required but a physician's prescription is not. Appointments can be scheduled online, click here.

Residents who do not have computer access, or who would like to schedule an appointment for children age five to 18 years old, can call the COVID-19 testing information line at 908-203-6014, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., not including county holidays.

For the safety, health and security of staff and volunteers, patients must arrive by car. The drive-thru test site will not allow residents who walk-up. Anyone who does not have an appointment will be turned away.

When coming to the testing center, residents are asked to use the main entrance to the college campus, off Route 28.

  • Manville Borough: 269 cases (7 deaths)
  • Montgomery Township: 255 cases (6 deaths)
  • North Plainfield Borough: 635 cases (41 deaths)
  • Peapack-Gladstone Borough: 80 cases (1 death)
  • Raritan Borough: 221 cases (14 deaths)
