COVID Vaccine Rate Hits 75% In NJ: See Somerset County's Numbers

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ — Gov. Phil Murphy recently announced that more than 75 percent of eligible New Jersey residents are now vaccinated against COVID-19. And Somerset County is not far behind that benchmark.

New Jersey is only one of seven states in the United States to hit this benchmark.

"We crossed the threshold of all eligible individuals ages 12 and older who live, work or study in New Jersey who has completed a vaccination course," said Murphy during a news conference on Wednesday. Read More: New Jersey COVID Vaccination Rate Surpasses 75 Percent

As of Friday, 235,252 Somerset County residents have been fully vaccinated out of the roughly 328,000 residents or just under 72 percent, according to the state's COVID-19 dashboard. (See below for a full breakdown of vaccination numbers by town in Somerset County)

Somerset County offers the COVID-19 vaccine every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at the Somerset County Senior Wellness Center, 876 E Main Street, Bridgewater. The Pfizer vaccine is available for Somerset County residents 12 and older. And the Moderna vaccine for those over 18 years old. Third doses are also available for the immunocompromised only.
