Craft Cannabis Dispensary Sets Opening Date In Somerset County

RARITAN, NJ — An opening date for Valley Wellness, a medical cannabis dispensary, has been set.

The grand opening will be held on Friday, Dec. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 407 Route 202 North in Raritan near the Somerville Circle. It is sharing a building with the appliance store Uneeda.

A ribbon cutting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Guests can meet suppliers, grab a bagel, and start their medical card application with PremierMD.

Sarah Trent, an attorney and medical patient, decided to open Valley Wellness after seeing a need for a medical dispensary in Central Jersey. Read More: Medical Cannabis Dispensary To Open In Raritan This Fall

"Medical patients where I live in Morris County have to drive over 45 minutes to get medicine," Trent, a Hun School of Princeton graduate previously told Patch.

Trent will initially operate as a medical cannabis dispensary only. She hopes to convert to an adult-use dispensary down the line.

"My hope is this location in Raritan will greatly reduce travel times for patients in Somerset and Hunterdon County," said Trent.
