Man Trapped In Car After 'Driving Too Fast' In Snow On Rt. 22
A motor vehicle crash with injuries has been cleared on Route 22 east at N Mountain Avenue in Bridgewater, police announced at 6 p.m.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A man was rescued after being stuck in his car following a motor vehicle crash on Route 22 east at N Mountain Avenue in Bridgewater on Wednesday night.
The initial crash was reported at 4 p.m. causing the ramp from N Mountain Avenue onto Route 22 east to be closed until further notice, Bridgewater police report.
The driver was reportedly driving too fast for road conditions, lost control, hit a telephone pole and exited the roadway into the woods, Bridgewater Lt. John Mitzak said.

Finderne Fire Department arrive on scene to find a man trapped in a vehicle.
"On arrival, a crew was assigned to patient care, fire suppression and extrication. A door pop was completed and the victim was extricated and turned over to Bound Brook EMS," Finderne Fire Department stated.

The driver was transported to RWJ New Brunswick for his injuries, Mitzak said.
The crash was cleared around 6 pm.
