Driver Crashes Into Tree, Passenger Ejected On Chimney Rock Road In Bridgewater
The 60-year-old male front-seat passenger was flown to an area hospital with serious injures, said police.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A car crashed into a tree causing a front-seat passenger to be ejected on Wednesday morning on Chimney Rock Road in Bridgewater, said police.
On Feb. 19 at 7:20 a.m., the Bridgewater Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash into a tree, with a front seat passenger ejected.
Arna Cochran, 90, of Bound Brook, was driving a 2015 Subaru Legacy, on private property, when she backed the vehicle across the front yard and hit a tree, ejecting the 60-year-old male passenger, said Bridgewater Police Officer Cole M. Taggert.

Martinsville Rescue Squad and RWJ Paramedics came to help. The Martinsville Volunteer Fire Department secured a helicopter landing site.
The victim was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital New Brunswick, via NJSP NorthSTAR, with serious injuries.

The Chimney Rock Road was closed between Washington Valley Road and Gillbridge Road until around 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday.
This crash is still under investigation by the Bridgewater Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
