Deadline Extended for Bridgewater to Enter Spelling Bee

Somerset County schools now have until Jan. 15

Bridgewater, NJ -- Somerset County Library System of New Jersey has extended the deadline for schools to enter SCLSNJ’s Bee Spectacular, a county-wide Scripps Spelling Bee, set to be held on March 4, 2016.

Somerset County schools now have until Jan. 15 to register to participate (original deadline was Dec. 11).

On Friday, March 4, 2016 at 7 p.m., Somerset County Library System of New Jersey will host SCLSNJ Bee Spectacular, a county-wide Scripps Spelling Bee for children grades 3-8, at the Montgomery High School auditorium, located at 1016 County Road 601 in Skillman.

The winner of SCLSNJ Bee Spectacular will be eligible to attend the 2016 Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. at the library system’s expense. Additional prizes will be awarded. To register: https://secure.spellingbee.com/enrollment/register

Note: If the registration fee ($211 + processing) presents a barrier to a school’s participation, SCLSNJ is prepared to reimburse the fee through the generous support of Somerset County’s Rotary Clubs.
