Dog Found Tied To Tree With No Food, Water At Washington Valley Park

Bridgewater Police also reported a number of shoplifting and DWI arrests in the blotter for the month of July.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — A dog was found tied to a tree in a secluded part of Washington Valley Park, according to the Bridgewater Police blotter.

On July 9 at around 11:48 a.m., officers went to Washington Valley Park for a report of an animal tied to a tree.

Officers found a German Shepherd tied to a tree (in a secluded part of the park) with no food, water, or owner in the area, said police.

A witness said that they saw earlier in the day (around 9 a.m.) the same dog tied to the same tree.

The German Shepherd was turned over to The Somerset County Regional Animal Shelter.

Other Bridgewater Township Police blotter items for the month of July:

On May 22 at around 3:56 p.m.: Officers responded to Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. for a report of shoplifting where the actor fled the scene. Officers located and arrested Vanessa Aiello, 29 of Clinton, in the rear parking lot of PetSmart. Aiello stole store merchandise valued at $347.96. Aiello was issued the following complaint summonses: shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia, and hindering. Aiello was released with a pending court appearance.

On June 26 at around 4:44 p.m.: A 45-year-old from Paramus, was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. They stole store merchandise valued at $138.58. Avdic was issued a complaint summons for shoplifting with a pending court appearance.

On July 2 at around 11:58 p.m.: Officers stopped Kelsey Neumann, 34, of Somerville, for a motor-vehicle offense on Route 22 West in the area of Buffalo Wild Wings. Neumann was arrested for driving while intoxicated and issued the following summonses: driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, and unregistered motor vehicle. Neumann was released with a pending court appearance.

On July 3 at around 4:38 p.m.: Robbin Anne McGeady was stopped for shoplifting at Target located at 200 Promenade Blvd. McGeady stole store merchandise valued at $294.33. McGeady was issued a summons for shoplifting with a pending court appearance.

On July 3 at around 4:38 p.m.: Jose C Yagual-Camacho was arrested for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. Camacho stole store merchandise valued at $199.96. Camacho was also found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Camacho was served with his complaint summons for shoplifting and released with a pending court appearance.

On July 6 at around 5:46 p.m.: Kimberly Aird, 44, of Morganville, was stopped for shoplifting at Sephora located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Aird stole store merchandise valued at $991.62. Aird was issued a complaint summons for shoplifting with a pending court appearance.

On July 7 at around 4:45 p.m.: A 42-year-old from Plainfield, was stopped for shoplifting at Macy's Department Store in the Bridgewater Commons Mall. They stole store merchandise valued at $192. Bravo-Chango was issued a complaint summons for shoplifting with a pending court appearance.

On July 10 at around 1:33 p.m.: Keyera Wilson, 24, of Newark, was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. Wilson stole store merchandise valued at $891.32. Wilson was served with a complaint summons for shoplifting with a pending court appearance.

On July 10 at around 6:28 p.m.: Lasha Mekhashishvili, 35, of Brooklyn, NY was stopped for shoplifting at the Apple Store in the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Mekhashishvili stole store merchandise valued at $396. Mekhashishvili was issued complaint summonses for shoplifting and burglary tools with a pending court appearance.

On July 11 at around 1:38 a.m.: Officers went to a residence on Mine Road for a vehicle fire. Officers spoke to the vehicle's owner who advised he was awoken to the sound of an explosion. The homeowner looked out of his window and saw (in his driveway) his Jeep Wrangler (EV) fully engulfed in flames and his Chevrolet Suburban partially engulfed in flames. The owner of the vehicle advised that he did not notice anything unusual prior to or after plugging it in for charging. Preliminary investigation revealed that the source of the fire was from the Wrangler's battery.

On July 15 at around 3:48 p.m.: Maria Schinella, 57, of Somerset, was stopped for shoplifting at Target at 200 Promenade Blvd. Schinella stole store merchandise valued at $215.82. Schinella was issued a complaint summons and released with a pending court appearance.

On July 11 at around 3:17 p.m.: Chante Willis, 40, of Bound Brook, was stopped on Route 22 West in the area of the Bridgewater Diner due to failure to maintain her lane of travel. Willis was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. Willis was issued the following summonses: driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, open container and failure to maintain lane. Willis was released pending a court appearance.

On July 20 at around 7:39 p.m.: A 26-year-old from Bound Brook, was stopped for shoplifting at Bed Bath and Body Works at the Bridgewater Commons Mall. Dinkens stole store merchandise valued at $92.55. They were issued a complaint summons with a pending court appearance.

On July 21 at around 2:35 a.m.: John Conteh, 22, of Somerset, was stopped on Route 22 West for failing to maintain his lane. Conteh was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated and issued the following summonses: driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, careless driving, failure to maintain lane, and uninsured motor vehicle. Conteh was released with a pending court appearance.

On July 27 at around 2:06 p.m.: A 35-year-old from Franklin Lakes, was seen shoplifting at Nordstrom Rack at 362 Chimney Rock Road. They stole store merchandise valued at $94.97. They were issued a complaint summons for shoplifting with a pending court appearance.
