Dogs, Humans To Walk/Run For Bridgewater Animal Shelter

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Heart & Sole 5K Run/Walk to benefit the Friends of the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter in Bridgewater will be held on Oct. 15.

The event will be held at Duke Island Park, Old York Road, Bridgewater. Check in for the run is at 8:30 a.m. with the 5K run beginning at 9:30 a.m.

The 5K Dog Walk begins at 10:30 a.m. through 12:30 p.m.

Registered humans receive a T-shirt and registered dogs receive a doggy goody bag.

Following the race, a variety of vendors, exhibits and food trucks will be at the park through 1:30 p.m.

Fees:

• 5K Run - Human (child under 12 free with registered adult) - $30.
• 5K Walk - Human Entry (child under 12 free with registered adult) - $25
• 5K Walk - Human plus 1 Dog - $30
• 5K Walk - Human plus 2 Dogs - $35
• 5K Walk - Human plus 3 Dogs - $40

All proceeds will go to the Friends of Somerset Regional Animal Shelter (FOSRAS), a 501(c)(3) corporation. They are a volunteer group designed to support the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter (SRAS). The Somerset Regional Animal Shelter is a not-for-profit municipal organization that provides animal control services and cares for approximately 1,000 lost, abandoned and surrendered animals per year.
