Dogs Rescued From Somerset County Hoarder Up For Adoption

PARSIPPANY, NJ — Several Chihuahuas rescued from a hoarding situation in Somerset County are being rehabilitated by a Parsippany animal rescue group and they are asking the local community for help.

Wise Animal Rescue helped rescue eight Chihuahuas from a hoarding situation in Somerset County, and are working to rescue another five to 10 dogs from the same home. All dogs need medical attention and "love and TLC," the rescue said.

"They came to us very scared but are quickly adapting to their new foster homes while receiving socialization, love, and attention," a spokesperson for the animal rescue told Patch.

All of the Chihuahuas will need vaccinations, microchips, and spay-neutering surgeries, but are otherwise ready for adoption. To help defray the costs, the group is seeking donations through a GoFundMe, or through PayPal.

Wise Animal Rescue is a donation, volunteer and foster-based rescue organization with roots in Parsippany. All of the animals helped by Wise are fostered in private homes, and the group does not have a shelter facility.

"We also do not receive any government funding and rely on the generosity of our supporters and volunteers to operate," the spokesperson said.

Juan and Francisco
